Captain Kathy DiMaggio, USN (ret)
Always a Sea Badger!
Hails from Wisconsin Rapids, WI. In her over 25 years on active duty in the United States Navy, Captain DiMaggio’s career focused on information technology and included tours worldwide: Midway Island, Iceland, Japan, both coasts and the midwest of the USA. She commanded Naval Computer and Communication Station, Far East; was Division Chief Joint Staff, C4 Directorate (J-6); and an Associate Fellow of Chief of Naval Operations Strategic Studies Group (XVIII). Kathy received her commission via NROTC University of Wisconsin-Madison. She holds Master’s degrees from both Naval Postgraduate School and Naval War College.
Joining industry after her Navy career, she worked for various small businesses and Raytheon, a major defense contractor focusing on Business Development in the Command & Control arena. Today, she enjoys retirement!!
As an active volunteer, Kathy completed a Certificate Program in Non-Profit Management at the University of Washington. She successfully wrote grant requests for the Bainbridge Island Senior Center and Johnson Elementary PTA, was the principal author of the Navy League’s Commissioning Guide, a member of the USS San Diego (LPD 22) Commissioning Committee, COS for the USS Washington (SSN 787) Commissioning Committee, VP of UW NROTC Alumni Association and one of the three Founders of the USS Wisconsin SSBN 827 Association.
